Terms and Conditions 2020/21

By applying for lessons and/or music sessions at school with redMUSIC

you agree to the following Terms and Conditions:

1. Payment Policy

Once we have received your application an invoice will be issued for the number of music lessons in the coming term, or the number of sessions remaining in that term. We typically teach five(5) sessions for each term (each 20 minutes in length), but this could be greater depending on the term length and school availability. Please see term dates.

Fees must be paid in advance of the start of each term by the payment deadline stated on each invoice and by using one of the prescribed methods:   We accept payment by Bank Transfer (account details specified on each invoice) or PayPal* (preferred methods). You can also pay by Cash or Cheque (made payable to Daniel Budd) and posted to our office – please request from us the address to use.  We recommend using an insured postal service, for example Royal Mail Special Delivery Guaranteed to ensure your payment reaches us. Payment must please NOT be dropped off at the school office or given directly to the coach.

*We also accept payment by PayPal sent to paypal@redmusic.uk.  Each of these payment methods should be used in conjunction with your unique code (see invoice) to avoid delays and errors. Please be aware, Telephone Banking services may not allow you to use your unique code and therefore is not one of our accepted methods of payment.  Payment must please NOT be dropped off at the school office or given directly to the coach.

2. Cancellation Policy

You may cancel lessons with no fees to pay if done within 30 days of signing up and no lessons taken.

Once an application is made, you are agreeing to give four(4) weeks notice of any intention to cease lessons etc. We do encourage you to see this as a journey of at least one year but if you do need to cancel lessons at any time, we will always require the stated period of notice.  If you decide to cancel lessons after the four-week deadline, a cancellation fee of 50% will be applied and invoiced.  ONCE THE TERM HAS COMMENCED, FULL PAYMENT WILL STILL BE OWED AND INVOICED FOR.  Lessons will roll over into the following school year unless you cancel or your child is leaving school (Yr 6 / Yr11).

4. Communications

Our primary method of communicating with parents is email and occasionally text message. Invoices are issued by email to avoid extra costs of postage & stationary etc.  Please do provide an email address which will be in use and checked regularly during the year and if you change your email address or other contact details, please ensure you let us know immediately. If you have any questions, concerns or comments, please do contact us as early as possible.

5. Covid-19

Our policies and procedures for working in schools during the Covid-19 pandemic are robust and are designed to keep children and staff safe. Our lessons have been fully risk assessed, and further information on how we keep our lessons safe is available here.

6. Missed lessons

If your child is unable to attend school due to illness (inc COVID-19 symptoms) and misses a music lesson, we are unfortunately unable to refund or rearrange lessons.  However, if your child is isolating for the 10-day period that coincides with more than one music lesson, our coach will endeavour to arrange some catch-up time at a later date. If the school is shut or our coach is unable to attend, we will make efforts to rearrange our visit before the end of the term.  This principal also applies to other unplanned events (such as snow closures etc). We may offer online lessons as an alternative option but this is not always possible and is at our discretion.

In the case of students missing online lessons, these can be rearranged with us (admin@redmusic.uk) for another time that week. If it is not possible for the coach to reschedule the lesson, fees will still be due for that week.
